What it is

Dermal fillers at MODE are hyaluronic acid gels — Juvederm and Restylane lines — placed to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and soften folds that emerge with age. HA is naturally present in the body, making these fillers well-tolerated, reversible, and incrementally adjustable.

Our approach is restraint-first. The goal is anatomical proportion: a cheek that looks like your cheek, a lip that reads as yours. We build gradually across visits when needed, and we’d rather under-dose than over-correct.

  • MechanismHyaluronic acid gel — hydrates and adds structural volume
  • Best forLips, cheeks, midface, jawline, chin, under-eye, nasolabial folds
  • ReversibleYes — hyaluronidase dissolves if needed (see /filler-correction/)
  • OnsetImmediate volume; final settle at ~2 weeks
  • Paired withSculptra (collagen foundation), neurotoxins, Skinvive for surface hydration
The protocol

A deliberate sequence — not a one-time visit.

01

Consult

Full-face assessment and treatment plan. We discuss your goals and recommend which filler product(s) and how many syringes across which areas.

02

Treatment

30-60 minutes. Topical numbing; most HA fillers contain lidocaine. Placed with fine needle or cannula.

03

Two-week follow-up

Complimentary. Swelling resolves and we assess whether any refinement is needed.

04

Maintenance

HA fillers typically last 6-18 months depending on product and area. Most patients return at 12 months for review.

Structure first.
Maintenance, not overfilling.

Questions

What patients often ask.

How many syringes will I need?+
Lips typically 1/2 to 1 syringe. Cheeks 1-2 syringes per side. A full-face rebalance might be 3-6 syringes across multiple visits. Your nurse injector will map this during consult.
Will it look obvious?+
Not with restraint-first treatment. Our approach is to stop before fullness, not at it. If anyone notices, it should be that you look rested — not that you had filler.
What’s the difference between Juvederm and Restylane?+
Both are HA filler families made by different manufacturers. Within each family there are specific products calibrated for lips, cheeks, under-eye, etc. Your injector chooses the product that matches the anatomy and desired result — it’s not a brand preference; it’s a product-fit decision.
Is it reversible?+
Yes. Hyaluronidase dissolves HA filler. See our /filler-correction/ page for dissolution.
How long does it last?+
Lip filler: 6-12 months. Cheek and midface: 12-18 months. Thinner skin areas move and metabolize faster than deeper structural placement.
Who injects at MODE?+
Marisa Dulin, MSN, FNP-C (Co-Owner, Nurse Practitioner) and Torey Varner, RN (Nurse Injector & Trainer).
