What it is

IV therapy delivers nutrients, electrolytes, and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream — bypassing the digestive tract and achieving cellular concentrations that oral supplementation cannot match. At MODE, IV therapy is delivered by a nurse practitioner, in a calm clinical setting, as part of a broader wellness plan.

The drip you receive is built around your goals. We start with a brief intake — energy, immune support, recovery, longevity, hydration after travel or training — and pair you with the right formulation. Drips run 30-60 minutes; you sit comfortably while the IV runs.

IV therapy at MODE is offered alongside hormone optimization, wellness shots, and broader functional-medicine care. It is not a standalone product — it is a tool inside a larger plan.

The protocol

A deliberate sequence — not a one-time visit.

01

Consult

Brief intake covering goals, history, current medications, and any contraindications. Your nurse practitioner recommends a drip type or builds a custom protocol.

02

Setup

You sit in a private treatment room. The IV is placed by your nurse practitioner; the drip runs through a standard IV setup at a calibrated rate.

03

Drip

30-60 minutes depending on formulation. Most patients use the time to read, work, or simply rest. We can adjust the rate based on how you feel.

04

After

Resume normal activity immediately. Hydrate well. Some patients feel an immediate energy lift; for regenerative drips like NAD+, effects build over the following days.

Questions

What patients often ask.

What's in Myers' Cocktail?+
A vitamin and mineral blend developed by Dr. John Myers — vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, magnesium, and calcium. Used for general wellness, immune support, fatigue, and post-viral recovery. The most-requested entry-level drip.
What does NAD+ do?+
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy production and DNA repair. NAD+ levels decline with age. IV NAD+ is used in longevity protocols, energy support, and metabolic recovery. NAD+ drips run longer than other formulations and may produce mild flushing or chest tightness during infusion — your nurse practitioner adjusts the rate to keep you comfortable.
When is Glutathione recommended?+
Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant. IV Glutathione is used for skin clarity, detoxification support, and as an adjunct to laser or aesthetic treatments. Often paired with Myers’ Cocktail for a combined approach.
What’s in the Hydration drip?+
Saline plus electrolytes and B-complex vitamins. Used after travel, after intense training, during illness recovery, or anytime oral hydration isn’t enough. The most basic drip — sometimes the most useful.
How often can I do IV therapy?+
Cadence depends on the drip and your goals. Hydration and Myers’ are commonly weekly to monthly; NAD+ protocols are typically series-based with maintenance afterward. Your nurse practitioner builds the schedule into your broader wellness plan.
Are there side effects?+
Most drips are well-tolerated. Common: mild bruising at the IV site, transient cool sensation during infusion. NAD+ specifically can cause flushing or chest pressure if infused too quickly — we run it slowly to avoid this. Anyone with kidney disease, heart conditions, or specific allergies needs to disclose during intake.
Is IV therapy covered by insurance?+
No. IV therapy at MODE is a wellness service, not a medical-necessity treatment, and is paid out-of-pocket. We do not bill insurance.
How do I book?+
IV therapy is booked through a Hormone & Wellness consultation rather than direct online scheduling. Call (480) 203-2072 or request a consult — we discuss goals and schedule your first drip from there.
Who delivers IV therapy at MODE?+
Marisa Dulin, MSN, FNP-C and Kirstyn Prater, DNP, AGACNP-BC. Both are nurse practitioners with IV experience.
