Earlobes age too. What earlobe filler does, and how we plan it.

A small area, planned with the same care as the rest of the face.

Earlobe filler is a small amount of hyaluronic acid gel placed in the earlobe to restore volume that has thinned with age and years of earrings. At MODE Aesthetics and Wellness in Scottsdale it is planned at a complimentary consultation, placed by a nurse injector, and, because it is hyaluronic acid, it can be dissolved if you ever want it undone.

In a reel from June, Torey Varner, RN, our nurse injector and injector trainer, showed an earlobe before and after treatment. It is one of the smallest areas we treat, and one of the ones people are most relieved to hear can be treated at all.

Why do earlobes thin and crease?

“Over time, earlobes can become thinner, elongated, wrinkled, and lose volume, especially from years of wearing earrings and sun exposure.”

Torey Varner, RN, on Instagram, June 2026

That is Torey’s description of what she sees in the chair: a lobe that is thinner and longer than it used to be, a crease across it, and less volume, with years of earrings and sun as the reasons she names. None of it is a medical problem. It is simply a part of the face most people never think about until they notice it in a photo.

What is earlobe filler, exactly?

It is the same category of product we use elsewhere in the face: a hyaluronic acid gel from the Juvederm and Restylane families, placed to restore lost volume, support contour, and soften folds. The result is immediate and tailored to your anatomy. Published protocols for earlobe rejuvenation describe placing a cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler in the deeper plane of the lobe, sometimes paired with a lighter hyaluronic acid skin booster for the surface, in a stepped technique that restores volume and improves skin quality. In Torey’s words, the goal is to restore lost volume and smooth creases.

Is earlobe filler reversible?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be broken down with an injectable enzyme called hyaluronidase if a result needs to be adjusted or undone. That reversibility is a recognized safety feature of hyaluronic acid based fillers, and it is the same principle used to manage filler complications generally. At MODE, filler correction and dissolution is its own service, $200, used for filler that is misplaced, overdone, or has migrated. We treat it as a correction, not only an emergency measure.

Who places earlobe filler at MODE in Scottsdale?

Dermal filler at the MODE aesthetics practice in North Scottsdale is placed by two people: Marisa Dulin, MSN, FNP-C, our co-owner, nurse practitioner, and lead injector, and Torey Varner, RN, our nurse injector, who also trains other licensed professionals in neurotoxin technique in the Scottsdale aesthetic community. Every filler plan starts with a complimentary injectables consultation, and a complimentary follow up visit is scheduled about six weeks after treatment to check whether anything needs refining.

Our office is at 7420 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Suite 120, on the Pinnacle Peak corridor in North Scottsdale. We see patients from DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Whisper Rock, Grayhawk, Troon, and McDowell Mountain Ranch, and from across Scottsdale.

What does earlobe filler cost in Scottsdale?

Dermal filler pricing at MODE varies by product and by the volume used, so it is set at your consultation rather than listed. The consultation is where we tell you how much product we would use and what it will cost, in writing, before anything is placed.

My earlobes are a small ask. Will I be talked into a full face plan at MODE when I only came in for my ears?

That is a fair worry. Injectable consultations at MODE are complimentary, take 45 to 60 minutes, and end with a written plan and quote you take home, with no pressure to treat the same day. If your earlobes are what you came in for, your earlobes are what we plan.
