What it is

Waxing offers an alternative to laser hair removal for patients who prefer temporary removal, have laser-resistant hair (blonde, red, gray), or simply want a faster option. We offer waxing across facial and body areas, plus eyebrow and eyelash tinting for definition.

Tinting services are listed alongside waxing — both are quick, effective esthetician services that fit naturally into monthly maintenance visits.

The protocol

A deliberate sequence — not a one-time visit.

01

Pre-waxing prep

Hair should be 1/4" long (about 2 weeks of growth). Avoid exfoliation, retinoids, and AHAs for 24-48 hours before waxing. Not recommended if on accutane.

02

Treatment

Warm wax applied in direction of hair growth; removed against. Fast, brief discomfort. Typically 10-20 minutes per area.

03

Post-wax care

Mild redness 1-2 hours. Avoid hot showers, saunas, workouts for 24 hours. Skip exfoliation for 48 hours. Sunscreen if exposed.

04

Cadence

Re-wax every 3-4 weeks. Consistent waxing over time trains follicles — hair regrowth becomes finer and sparser.

Questions

What patients often ask.

Should I wax or laser?+
Wax for: laser-resistant hair (light, gray), immediate smoothness, flexibility. Laser for: long-term reduction, less regrowth over time, faster net time saved after full series. Many patients do both — laser for primary areas, wax for occasional touch-ups.
How long does waxing last?+
Typically 3-6 weeks. Individual variation depends on hair growth rate and hormones. Consistent waxing results in finer regrowth over time.
Does waxing hurt?+
Brief sharp sensation per pull. First-time Brazilian waxes are the most uncomfortable; subsequent visits are significantly easier as the hair becomes finer. Most patients find eyebrow and lip waxing very tolerable.
Do you offer all body-area waxing?+
We offer the most-requested facial and body areas. For less-common requests (full-leg, back, chest for men, etc.), discuss with us — we may be able to accommodate.
Is brow tinting safe?+
Yes — we use professional-grade brow tint designed for facial hair. Patch test recommended for first-time tinting patients. Results last 3-4 weeks.
Can I combine a tint with a wax?+
Absolutely — pair an eyebrow wax + tint for the complete brow service ($75 total) in one appointment.
