Hyperhidrosis Treatment
FDA-approved Botox for excessive underarm sweating — 80-90% reduction for 6-8 months per treatment.
Hyperhidrosis — excessive, uncontrollable sweating — is a medical condition distinct from normal perspiration. Axillary hyperhidrosis (underarm sweating) can disrupt work, wardrobe choices, intimate relationships, and self-confidence. The good news: botulinum toxin injections are FDA-approved, clinically proven, and highly effective.
At MODE, we perform axillary hyperhidrosis treatment using Botox onabotulinumtoxinA injected into the underarm area. The toxin blocks the nerve signals that trigger excessive sweat gland activity, reducing perspiration by 80-90% for 6-8 months per treatment cycle.
This is a medical treatment, not a cosmetic one. Your comfort, privacy, and the clinical excellence of the treatment are our focus.

Consult
Medical history and hyperhidrosis pattern review. We rule out secondary causes and confirm the primary idiopathic diagnosis. Insurance coverage occasionally applies — we discuss documentation if relevant.
Starch-iodine mapping (optional)
For severe cases, we can map the hyperactive sweat zones using starch-iodine test to target injections precisely.
Injection
Typically 50 units of Botox per underarm (100 total). Grid pattern of small subcutaneous injections. Topical numbing or ice. 30-minute appointment.
Effect onset
Sweating reduction begins at 3-5 days, maximum effect at 2 weeks. Plan 2-weeks ahead of any event where reduced sweating is important.
Maintenance
Re-treatment every 6-8 months. Some patients extend to 10-12 months as cumulative treatment quiets the sweat response.
