Welcoming Kirstyn Prater, DNP.
Functional medicine, hormone optimization, and longevity, now led at the doctorate level.
The MODE care team is growing.
We are delighted to welcome Kirstyn Prater, DNP, AGACNP-BC to MODE. Kirstyn is a doctorate-prepared Nurse Practitioner who leads the practice’s functional medicine, hormone optimization, and longevity work, bringing advanced clinical expertise and a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and performance to every patient she serves.
Her path started in Exercise Science, where a love for movement, nutrition, and overall wellness took root. After nursing school in 2014, she spent her early career in high-acuity settings as a Neuro/Trauma and Critical Care Nurse, earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2018, and went on to practice as a Neuro Critical Care Nurse Practitioner.
Seeing firsthand how many chronic conditions could be improved, or avoided entirely, through proactive, root-cause-focused care drove her toward advanced training in functional medicine, hormone optimization, and longevity through the Institute for Functional Medicine, WorldLink Medical, and Evexias.
Her mission at MODE is simple: help patients feel their best, restoring vitality, optimizing hormones and metabolic health, preventing chronic disease, and supporting long, vibrant lives. Outside of medicine you will find her traveling with her husband Dean, hiking with her dogs, or cooking new recipes for family and friends.
