What it is

Hormone Therapy for Him is a complete testosterone replacement and wellness optimization pathway for men — intake, comprehensive labs, and ongoing clinical care led by Marisa Dulin, MSN, FNP-C.

We treat low-testosterone states, age-related hormonal decline, and general male wellness patterns. Delivery options include pellet therapy (sustained-release, $800 per insertion every 4-5 months), injectable testosterone cypionate, and transdermal options. Choice is driven by lab values, lifestyle, and monitoring preferences.

The protocol

A deliberate sequence — not a one-time visit.

01

New patient intake

60-minute appointment. Symptom review, medical history, lab order, preliminary conversation. $450.

02

Lab draw

Comprehensive male hormone panel including total and free testosterone, estradiol, SHBG, PSA, CBC. In-office draw available (+$45).

03

Treatment plan

Follow-up reviews labs and designs your protocol. Delivery route discussion: pellet, injection, or transdermal.

04

Ongoing care

Initial follow-up at 6 weeks, then every 3-4 months. Lab monitoring to maintain optimal ranges and monitor for side effects.

Questions

What patients often ask.

How do I know if I have low testosterone?+
Symptoms: fatigue, low libido, difficulty building muscle, mood decline, weight gain around the midsection, low motivation. Lab-confirmed via total and free testosterone. Age-related decline is common from 30s onward; clinically low is typically below 300 ng/dL with symptoms.
Is testosterone replacement safe?+
With appropriate monitoring, yes. We track prostate health (PSA), hematocrit (blood thickness), estradiol (E2 balance), and symptom response. Contraindications include active prostate cancer and certain cardiac conditions.
Pellet vs injection?+
Pellet: inserted every 4-5 months, sustained release, no self-administration, $800. Injection: weekly to bi-weekly self-administered intramuscular, cheaper per-dose, more flexibility for adjustment. Pellets favor convenience; injections favor dose precision.
Will TRT shrink my testicles?+
External testosterone suppresses natural production, which can cause testicular atrophy. This is managed with HCG (stimulates natural production) or other protocols. Discussed during treatment planning.
What about fertility?+
TRT typically impairs sperm production. If fertility is a future priority, we may recommend HCG monotherapy or delay TRT. Discussed during intake.
How long before I feel better?+
2-4 weeks for libido and mood. 2-3 months for full energy and body composition shifts. First dose is rarely the final dose — adjustments based on follow-up labs.
Who leads TRT at MODE?+
Marisa Dulin, MSN, FNP-C.
