Sculptra & Radiesse

Sculptra

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment used primarily for facial rejuvenation and volume restoration. Unlike dermal fillers, which provide immediate results by adding volume to specific areas of the face, Sculptra works gradually over time to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production. This results in subtle, long-lasting improvements in facial volume, skin texture, and elasticity.

The active ingredient in Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). A biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic material that has been used in medical products for decades. When injected into the skin, Sculptra works by stimulating the production of new collagen, the protein that is responsible for skin elasticity and firmness.

Treatment regimen is typically three appointments over the course of 3-6 months and maintenance at one appointment a year after that.

Radiesse

Radiesse uses Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHa) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. The gel provides immediate volume, while the CaHa microspheres stimulate the body’s natural collagen production over time. As the body absorbs the microspheres, it leaves behind collagen for longer-lasting results.
